Sami Charfeddine

Sami Charfeddine has German-Tunisian roots and grew up in Heidelberg. There he first began dancing ballroom and latin at the age of 14. After growing increasingly passionate about hip-hop and contemporary dance in the US and Mannheim, Sami finally began training as a contemporary dancer at the Zurich University of the Arts in 2017. During this time he danced in choreographies by Nadav Zelner, Tarek Assam, Estefania Miranda and Olga Labovkina, among others, and learned repertoire by Angelin Preljocaj.

Sami graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2020 after interning for one season with the dance company of Konzert und Theater St. Gallen, where he gained his first professional experience on the theater stage with pieces by Kinsun Chan.

Since September 2021 Sami is a member of the wee dance company of the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater Görlitz-Zittau.
