Amit Bard (Preisman)

Amit Bard (Preisman) has been a permanent member of the GHT Görlitz-Zittau/wee dance company since the beginning of the 2014/15 season. Before that she was a freelance dancer all over Europe.

Amit was born and raised in Israel. She studied at the "Manor Kabri high school for the arts" and the KCDCS (Kibutzitn Contemporary Dance Company School), majoring in dance and sculpture. Under the direction of Rachely Shapira, she participated in the "Workshop for the Professional Development of Dancers and Choreographers in Haifa".

She started her professional career as a dancer with Michael Miler, dance company "Sigma Ensemble", in Israel. In 2011 she moved to Berlin and joined "cie.Toula Limnaios Dance Company". From 2013 she was traveling all over Europe as a freelance dancer.

After several years as a dancer in the dance company at the Gerhart Hauptmann Theater, she has also been working as a rehearsal director and assistant to the dance directors at the house since the 2019/2020 season.
